UPDATE October 5, 2021
The Local Union is still in Negotiations with the City over the mandatory masking and testing policy. We have successfully got the policy pushed back with an effective date of Oct 22. We are trying to get it pushed back further. The Union proved to the City that the policy cannot just be implemented at a whim, but needs City Council approval.
If you want to speak to the Council, you have an opportunity to do so at the Wednesday October 6th City Council meeting.
Please note that the policy is being discussed in closed session and that if you want to speak, you need to do so during the public comment period of the closed session meeting. That meeting starts at 5:30pm.
